Nice to meet you, Iām Sarah!
I am the owner and physical therapist at Cultivate. Throughout my career I have treated various types of patients, but I have a special interest in treating pelvic floor dysfunction in adults and children as well as general pediatrics. I love diving into the root of what is going on and getting you back to what you love without pain or dysfunction!
The name Cultivate came to be from my experience growing up on a small family farm in NE Iowa. I gained a lot of wonderful experiences being on the farm and have always felt a connection to a more holistic approach to medicine because of this. Being on the farm allowed me to learn the importance of considering all aspects of a plant or animals environment in order to let them thrive. I continue to use this approach when treating patients and work to consider all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual well being as well as addressing environmental factors that can contribute to their overall well being.
In regards to my education, I attended Iowa State University for undergraduate work, where I received my B.S. in Kinesiology and Health. From there I attended Des Moines University where I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. In my free time I enjoy gardening, swimming, singing, playing piano, and spending time with my family.
